The third annual founding meeting of the Iraqi Society of Dermatologists and Venereologists was held on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at the “Alf Layla wa Layla” complex in Baghdad, under the sponsorship of Jamjoom Scientific Office. Prof. Dr. Hadaf Abdul Ameer Hassan Al-Junaeh, President of the Society, delivered a lecture entitled: “Topical treatment in dermatophytosis: what to choose?”.

Dr. Manal Bousila from Egypt presented two lectures: “Trichoscopy: A visual journey into common hair disorders” and “Dermoscopy clues for non-melanoma skin cancer”, while Dr. Nidal Khalifa from Bahrain delivered a lecture entitled “Optimizing Acne Management”.

During the meeting, the Society’s treasurer, Dr. Yasser Al-Shammari, presented the financial report for the past year, and board members Dr. Ali Thamer, Dr. Ghassan Hassan Al-Waizhi, and Dr. Hana Al-Mudarris presented the administrative report and reviewed last year’s activities, along with the new scientific and humanitarian activity plan for the current year. The meeting also included discussion of members’ proposals to further support the Society’s mission, in the presence of a distinguished group of respected members.
